Quillaja saponaria, also known as soapbark tree, is native to Chile and known for its high content of saponins—natural foaming agents with immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory properties.
In supplements, Quillaja extracts are occasionally used to enhance the delivery of other ingredients or as emulsifiers in formulations. Some research suggests saponins may support immune function and reduce inflammation, which can benefit active individuals.
Its use is more common in functional beverages and emulsified supplement drinks than in capsules or tablets.
