Beta-Glucans

Beta-glucans are a type of soluble fiber found in the cell walls of certain grains, mushrooms, and yeasts. In supplementation, they are valued for their immune-modulating properties and potential support for cholesterol reduction.

They help activate key immune cells like macrophages and natural killer cells, which may assist in maintaining immune resilience during intense training. Some athletes use beta-glucans to prevent overtraining-related immune suppression.

Additionally, beta-glucans have been linked to improved gut health and cardiovascular function, indirectly supporting athletic recovery and overall wellness.
